Here's the Topaz's trunk layout. The equipment seen here consists of: Alpine V12 Expert 1505, Alpine 3566, Eclipse 8812 12" subs, Impulse 2F capacitor with digital readout. I made the box and amp rack myself out of 3/4" MDF, 1/2" plexi, trunk liner and diamond plate aluminum. |
|
Blaupunkt 6x9's. They are raised up on custom trim rings so their magnets clear the sub box. The tweeters have also been disabled so they don't distract from the front stage. |

Panasonic CQ-DVR909u CD/DVD player and Farenheit MHR-7001 7" windscreen monitor. The deck has a built in center channel speaker but it's pretty wimpy. I hope to replace it with a bigger speaker mounted in the ashtray. The monitor is held to the dash with velcro and the power and video cable feed down through the dash behind the monitor. I wanted the screen removable since it's only for show purposes. Both units have wireless remote controls. |

Pioneer 1" tweeters. I mounted them to the sail panels because it was convenient but the sound paths are not ideal. I hope to mount them further down on the kick panels for better results. The doors have 6.5" Pioneer three-way speakers in them. |

24V DOHC emblems adorn each fender. |

The "SHO" lettering comes from a Dodge SHadOw badge which was cut up. They match the letter size of the Topaz lettering and from more than 2 feet away it looks perfect. |

The Yamaha badges were purchased from a local motorcycle shop. |

Same badge on the rear. |
